Vista Health Names Chief Operating Officer
 While Barbara J. Martin has been working with Vista Health since October of 2003, it was on June 1, 2004 that she was named to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Initially, Martin began her Vista Health association as Chief Transformation Officer to facilitate the healthcare organization’s operational turnaround into a profitable healthcare operation. Just prior to coming to Vista Health, Martin was interim Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President, Patient Service Operations, for Temple University Hospitals, Philadelphia, PA. Previous to her Temple experience, Martin was System Vice President, Clinical Operations, for Provena Health, Frankfort and Kankakee, IL. Martin also held the positions of Vice President of Operations and Ambulatory Services at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center and vice President of Patient Services at Saint Margaret and Mercy Health Centers in Hammond, IN.

Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center Names New Vice President
 Mary Hillard, R.N., M.S.N., has been appointed Vice President of Patient Care Services at Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center. Hillard has been employed with Resurrection Health Care since 1981 when she began her nursing career at Resurrection Medical Center, where she most recently served as Director of Nursing. While in that leadership position, Hillard achieved multiple notable accomplishments, such as: developing certificates of need for four clinical areas; establishing the Cardiac Catherization Lab/Open Heart Program; developing and implementing nursing management programs; and participating in the construction and renovation of six clinical care areas. Hillard is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from Rush University, Chicago, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from Loyola University, Chicago.

Jepson Joins Silver Cross Hospital as Head of Human Resources
Mark Jepson has joined the Silver Cross staff as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources.  Jepson previously served the University Hospitals Health System (UHHS) of Cleveland as the Director of Human Resources for Geauga Regional Hospital and Heather Hill Hospital in Geauga, OH. He also worked in the Human Resources department at several other UHHS hospitals including Memorial Hospital of Geneva, University Hospitals of Cleveland and Bedford Medical Center—all in Ohio.
