Kambic named Riverside President and CEO

The Riverside Healthcare Board of Directors announced today its appointment of Phillip Kambic as President and CEO of Riverside HealthCare. Kambic has been serving as Riverside’s interim CEO since January.

A native of Kankakee, Kambic graduated from Eastridge High School as an Illinois State Scholar, president of the National Honor Society and the American Legion School Award recipient. Kambic received his B.S. in computer management from Eastern Illinois University in 1985. Shortly after graduation, he accepted his first position as a computer programmer for Riverside Medical Center. In 1988, Kambic was promoted to a manager position and appointed director of information systems at Riverside in 1990. In 1992, he became vice president of information services and later, was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Kambic earned his Master’s of Business Administration from Governor’s State University in 1992.

Adventist Midwest Health Announces New President/CEO

David L. Crane has been appointed as the new President/CEO of Adventist Midwest Health.

Crane, who has most recently served as President/CEO of Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton, CO, has an extensive healthcare leadership background, much of which has been within the Adventist Health System. Other institutions for which Crane has served include St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and Mercy Health Partners in Toledo, OH, and Centura Health in Denver, CO.

Crane is an alumnus of Union College, Lincoln, NE, and holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

Crane replaces Ernie W. Sadau who has accepted an executive position with CHRISTUS Health as Sr. Vice President - Patient and Resident Care Operations.

Children's Hospital and Health System Announces New Executive Director of the Southern Region

George T. Wong has been named executive director of the Southern Region for Children's Hospital and Health System. In this role, he will provide leadership to services for children and families in Kenosha, WI, and northern IL.

Wong has extensive health care management experience. Most recently he was group practice administrator for Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL. He has served as an administrator at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation in Chicago, director at Covenant Healthcare in Milwaukee (now Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare) and assistant vice president of the George K. Baum & Company Healthcare Finance Group in Kansas City, MO. He also has held positions as director of Columbus-Cabrini Medical Center in Chicago, associate director of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI, and director of Our Lady of Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago.

Wong has a master's degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Chicago Health Executives Forum.
